Every year, for seven years, five middle-aged female friends have spent a week together in a lake cabin where they relax, play bridge, argue about who dealt last, nip at the bottle, share their lives and banter.  This year is different.  They decide to take on the challenge of giving a life-makeover to Gus, the owner of the collapsing lake resort.  The women themselves change as emphasis shifts from cards and drinking to exercising and improving.  We learn that girlfriends are good to have and that although everyone else’s life looks perfect, it just isn’t so.  --Rated G
